After a bare minimum of reflection, I have come to the conclusion that kick-starting my own website is not an exercise in self-delusion or vanity. Given what has passed lately for expertise in the national media and academia, I do so with some justification. Perhaps I may have something of interest and significance to offer others who may be seeking out informed commentary upon the social, cultural, political condition of the American experiment.
